Third event of the capacity-building program | Turin: First online session

Wood Circularity: products, regulations, policy levers and best practice case studies [Italian below]

As part of the WOODCIRCLES capacity-building and training programme, this first online session marks the start of a capacity-building programme aimed at supporting local stakeholders in advancing wood circularity in practice.

Participants will gain access to insights and hands-on expertise shared by the project’s partners on upcycling wood waste, as well as on the application of wood reuse and engineered wood products in construction. The session will also explore the Italian regulatory framework for construction and demolition waste management as well as the End-of-Waste pathway for structural timber, drawing inspiration from international demolition practice. There will also be an opportunity to gain insights into policy levers that can be used to promote upcycling wood waste and best practices from local, national and international levels.

By bringing together expertise from across the WOODCIRCLES consortium, the event provides concrete input, inspiration, and practical guidance for public authorities, municipal representatives, policymakers, urban planners and technical staff from the City, the Metropolitan City and the Piedmont Region who are seeking to strengthen wood reuse and circular value chains in Turin.

*Certificates of participation will be provided to all registered attendees present at the session.
